How to Live? What to Do?-How is the poetic imagination important to 'being', not merely living, and how does this concern the pursuit of happiness? Hint. (Man/(or)Woman and Soul finding life)

Define, in your own words, what it means to be obscure. Provide evidence of everyday obscurity in american speech.

The Great Harmonium is the 'world'.

'The Planet on the Table' is our first reference to why we call the Collected Works of Steven's our Bible.

Stevens talks about two things, but really only mentions one subject: Imagination and Reality.

BLOG QUIZ QUESTION 1!

Why does the Tennessee Jar win? Hint (VOID)

A quick list of Lucreti's ideas depicted in The Nature of Things can be found in bold font in chapter eight of Stephen Greenblatt's The Swerve.

Atoms: Lucreti-Epicurus-Democritus

SECONDARY TEXT: George Santayana's Three Philosophical Poets: Instead of wasting your time downtown, waxing your chest, or gossiping with the illiterate's about some social phenomenon they are too ignorant to recognize, you should sit down and read these three truly brilliant lectures placing into scope the 'world' we now exist within.

Stevens is thoroughly involved with Nature.

[Mine] An Earthy Anecdote is the shaping of a world and your belief in the conceptions of your reality.

Lucreti: Things are immortal but not you (He is referring to your ego [mine])

Santayana happens to have been Stevens teacher at Harvard. Stevens in his elderly life wrote a poem "To an Old Philosopher in Rome" as a tribute to Santayana who spent his last hours with nuns in a convent in Rome.

Sexson would like you to explain in depth, or attempt to, the Swerve: Declination, inclination, and Clinamen. (A similarity exists between the swerves and Hegel's Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis.)

[Mine] The Analytical exists only upon knowledge.
